I have always been interested in the arts, but I did not begin to paint until I took a watercolor class on the spur of the moment almost 20 years ago. After a couple of years exclusively painting in watercolors, I expanded into the world of oil painting.
In oils, I’ve discovered that allowing my art to become more unstructured allows my feelings to show through the painting. My aim is to have my work express my love of a beautiful landscape and all of the colors within it.
I have been fortunate to be able to take classes with wonderful art teachers over the years, and have learned so much as my artistic voice has emerged. Italy’s unending beautiful vistas, observed during my extended time there each year, have become my favorite subject to paint.
I have extended my love of art through my business – Artfully Managed – where I help other artists manage the business details of the art world. Like most artists, I wish I had more time in my day to paint- because time is swept away when you have a brush in your hand!
